PROTOTYPE 0.2

This version is a simple upgrade of the prototype 0.1, which involves the editing and saving function.The workflow is as follows:1. User using the original Flash navigation menu2. User suddenly want to change the menu layout3. User click on the “Action Mode” button4. Flash changes to “Edit Mode”5. User can drag and drop the navigation items anywhere they want6. User click on the “Save Settings” button7. User click on the “Edit Mode” Button / Reload the Flash8. User can use the new modified navigation menuThe hardest part here is to define a well XML exporting mechanism, because all the other components, e.g. page contents will use the same mechanism.In the next version, I will be focusing on the messaging section. That is showing the system messages. It is a small part however important to let the user know whats going on.And then the page content part will be done. And finally the page building and linking section. All of these will probably wrap up as prototype 1.0 which I hope can be finished before starting of semester B.

PROTOTYPE 0.1

The prototype 0.1 is done within the revision and examination period XD, actually this is a very large one in terms of code size and is a very important milestone for the forthcoming development.The prototype 0.1 mainly works on the navigation menu and is a trial on the real time building of the Flash contents based on the XML data file.The workflow is like this:1. XML (storing the data for the navigation menu)2. Flash read the XML3. Flash interpret the XML data4. Flash dynamically builds the navigation menu5. Finish (user can use the navigation menu)The next step will be working on the navigation menu editing and saving function.

PROGRESS in NOVEMBER

It’s been a while since my last blog here… nearly two months… It is mainly because of the bunch of couruseworks, projects and examination coming one after another without pause. Of course, a few days are spent on Christmas celebrations :pAlthough I have not post anything new here, it doesnt mean that there are no works done. Lets chase back the progress in November.In the last blog, I was mainly focusing on building the color selector. The main purpose of this color selector is to build a more rigid framework for all the later components, e.g. how the movieclips are linked to the class, the “windows” class including the minimize and maximize functions, etc.The final product can be tried in here.Although the product cannot show the real color changing right now, that part will be finished later in a flash.Furthermore, the interim report is well documented already.

論壇升級 2.5

前日無聊走上 Molyx 發現新既 2.5 version 已經出左於是用左原本用黎溫 MM 既一整日黎 upgrade 個 forum…今次既 upgrade process 真係極之複雜因為新既 version 全面改用 UTF-8 格式既 Database所以要將現時所有既 Big5 data 做 translation其實 translation tool 係存在既不過問題係在於要將 60mb 既 database file (~100000 個 post)download 落 local 改完再 upload 返上去係非常浪費時間…起初我係用論壇本身既後台做 backup download 既但係竟然 upload 唔返轉頭… 好似因為太大跟住就要無聊地搵 win 32 既 gzip tools…跟住都唔得就唯有用 split file… 每個 5mb total 14 個 pieces…upload 到喇… 點知有 mysql error…諗左一大輪… 發覺有 d 中文字如果放係最後會有 error… 例如: 閱 淚 佢…結果要開住一個 5mb 既 txt file 慢慢 replace…notepad 開 5mb txt file 簡直同等死無乜分別做左一輪… 結果放棄最後都係要用一個 60 mb 既 txt file 做 replace…用左 pspad… 好快… 不過裝完 forum… 全部亂碼…原來 pspad 整瓜晒 d UTF-8 中文字…結果又再黎過不過用左 word… 終於倒得返個 forum 上去大部份野正常…投票死晒… 逐個投票跟返 d sql backup 黎執…終於收工….前前後後我相信同 flysforum 有差唔多 1GB 既 data transfer…同時亦都用左我一整日既時間去做…老細… 聽講… 仲考緊試架…嗯… 呢個就係我… Flysforum 一個普通的壇主的一日整好左個 forum 之後都有不停咁執 bug其中一樣就係執 W3C XHTML standard…因為 molyx 2.5 本身係呢一方面已經落左好多工夫相信佢係全球第一個能夠符合 W3C stanard 既論壇程式不過依家既 molyx 依然有少少唔符合既情況出現所以又用左幾粒鐘去研究點樣令首頁符合 W3C然後將教學 post 埋上 molyx 既官方論壇點知o個個論壇既管理員竟然比左個精華我 XDD我比人地就比得多 今次都係第一次收…能夠比人地大公司 Admin 賞識真係好開心 XDD佢仲話黎緊正式版一定會改好 tim kaka我一有時間都會繼續改其他 page 拎多幾個精華先 XD

呢一段時間裡面最大件事都莫過於 web usability 個 assignment 得 55 分…講真我開頭知道做唔到 top 10 已經好著緊點之知道 d 分之後直頭呆左之後自己 email Sigma (web 的 grader) 問佢點解佢第一句就話 “”First, it is very important you need to know, the report is 90% of the total marks, while the web page is only 10%. “跟住佢仲極之詳細咁解釋比我聽… 真係有 d 感動當我知道自己衰 d 乜之後即刻開心返晒 XDDD我就係咁奇怪既人… 我唔怕衰 最緊要衰得明明白白好彩 mid term 拉返高晒者 (好似係 top tim… ccc)今日 exam 都考得唔錯希望拎返隻 A 仔啦~~!!FYP 進度繼續因為各種原因拖慢不過總算將我自己覺得最難o個 part 寫完依家我已經成功做到一個 Flash 能夠透過 PHP 寫得出一個 XML而呢個 XML 又能夠食入另一個 Flash 入面從而做到一個 naviagtion menu下一步就係將第一 part Flash -> PHP o個 part interactive 化從而做到 WYSIWYG editor~

取捨

係呢個世界好多野都需要取捨例如一個人佢好靚呢 有可能會唔叻架 wor如果佢叻呢 又未必孝順父母 wor總之有得就必有失啦所以我就咁耐都無寫日記喇 XDD超級爛既大藉口…不過講真之前真係好忙呀一個禮拜趕 interim report一個禮拜趕 mm仲有一個禮拜要打機休息 wor見今日岩岩考完 web 先咁得閒打幾隻字咋…總之我盡力 keep 住打啦 haha
